Phoebe Hill // Honours Student 2024
As an Illustrator and designer, I like to keep an open mind to new ideas and let myself be carried away by my imagination. I enjoy exploring themes of nature and femineity which can be seen throughout portfolio. I am inspired by exaggerated shapes, vibrant colour and a surrealistic style in my work and keep a sharp eye to detail.
After studying in Canada for a semester before starting 4th year I have discovered what my style of illustration is and a further openness to expand my creative knowledge and try new things. This year’s projects I’ve strived for a unique and imaginative approach, with a whimsical identity and lots of symbolism by enhancing my designs through experimentations.
Through my knowledge on real-world issues and I like to compose these problems within my art and always look at the greater picture and how my art can be impactful. I seek to bring my imagination to life through illustration and invoke thought and compassion to an audience.
